Issue w/screen flickering -related to low light sensor

I started having an issue with my S4 's screen flickering bright and low whenever the battery saver mode is engaged or when screen is dimming for any reason. Anyone have any ideas on what could cause this. I checked for other apps, now I either have to have the auto brightness off or manual switch it when going indoors or when any reason to dim screen. Frustrating. I am hoping this is a bug that may be fixed in next update.
