So I'm on Sprint, and looking at T-Mobile who has just put up 3 new towers in my town (as compared to the one Sprint has overcrowded for the past 2 years now).

I was researching my ETF, and I have 13 months remaining on my contract, so $260 with my Galaxy Nexus.

BUT. What if I were to switch my phone on the account to a dumbphone, use it for a month, then cancel? Would Sprint then charge me the $130 non-"Advanced Device" ETF?

Or because I used the upgrade to GET the Galaxy Nexus, would I have to pay the full $260 ETF?

It's not the end of the world either way, just wanted to know if I could save a hundred bucks. :p
