I don't mind ads. I know you have to keep the lights on. But when I have the lights out and the tablet on silent, thought as should be able to override that and blare it and thereby walking my wife. If you cannot respect my need for silence, then I'll have to either find a new wife (very expensive) or find a new Android outlet(not impossible). Thank you!

Yup, I think you're right. I misunderstood his post and thought he was sleeping as well and not only his poor wife OP, please disregard my post.

This is a problem with articles too. Sometimes I read articles in bed and sometimes at work. A universal setting to mute the ads would be nice. Otherwise I'll just peruse other apps that aren't so intrusive instead...

I use the AC Forums app, which is ad free. Can't help you much with the blog articles. I don't even read them, so not an issue either way for me.
