My gmail won't refresh automatically

I have to manually "refresh" my inbox to get the new emails. This is a recent thing, it used to be fine.

Its not a problem. You have sync turned off. Follow the advice of satana. Alternatively you can go to: settings/battery and data manager/data delivery and make sure "background data" is checked. Which is basically the same thing as enabling it through the widget.

oh i see, i'm sorry, i didn't understand what the sync button would do. Gonna try these things.
