GO SMS Notifications

Hello all! My first post here. My problem is I have GO SMS app. I've been having an issue with not getting notifications or notification icon disappearing when i get a new text. for example, i'm at work and don't check my phone all day, when I press the power button to show the display I don't see a new text message notification in status bar, but when I open the app I see messages from throughout the day. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, cycling the phone and off and my phone is not rooted. ANyone else having or have had this problem?

Go into stock message app settings and make sure notifications are off. Then check go SMS settings to make sure you have notifications on. Or try turning pro mode off.
