Contacts

Just got the Atrix which is my first Android phone so maybe I am just missing something here. How can I get the contact list to list by last name first? Is there anyway to get rid of the picture icon, as I dont use pictures with contacts? If not is there a third party contacts app that is better then stock?

Unfortunately, for some weird reason, the Atrix will not sort contacts by last name first. I was on tech support with Motorola a couple of different times before I got the definitive "NO." They did say they would forward my concerns to the the development team

I personally decided that I liked the phone well enough to put up with that once I finally got my google contact groups on the phone.

Regarding other contact apps, I like DejaOffice. It will do your contacts, calendar, tasks etc and sync them to google. You might want to give it a look, or I'm sure more experienced Android users will have more suggestions.
