Hey all,

So I am a newbie to the Android World and I have a Captivate. It has been rooted, sideloaded, and wiped of all ATT stuff... (all was done on great directions from the forum)

I am not trying to complete the overclocking task...
I am really confused with the Odin3, PIT files, etc...

I know, I know.. someone that doesn't understand what these things are shouldn't be trying to mess with it... but I am eager to accomplish it

Can someone please post a Overclocking for dummies?

Just FYI... I didn't even know how to download and install the Odin3 program.. LOL

Thanks!

P.S. after Overclocking, I am hoping to unlock the HUSPA data over the 3G.

xda forum will have all the info you need on the overclocking procedure. Before you even do that you need to flash your ROM to the I9000 European version ROM. That is easier said then done as I am having issues with Odin 3 right now. Just make sure you read all the threads you can find that relate to Odin, ROM's , how to properly enter download mode etc...otherwise you will start having issues that and possibly get freaked out. All is good though as you can always reboot back to stock with Odin one click.
