Is there any way at all (from the device) to tell if your phone is NOT ROOTED?

I have to send my Captivate back to ATT (GPS issues) and want to make 100% sure my phone is NOT ROOTED.

I unrooted my Captivate following these steps
Here's how you UNROOT your Captivate - Android Forums

I've found tons of info on this forum and other forums but nothing mentions checking anything on the device itself.

I can still run adb shell commands from my PC but I'm not sure if you can do that with an unrooted phone.

So does anyone know of a sure-fire way to:
A. Set my phone back to factory defaults before I send it back and
B. A way from the device to check the "root" status.

Download titanium back up and see if it allows you superuser access

Run an app that needs root permisions like Wireless Tether. If it tethers you're still rooted. You would also need super user access, so if you don't have that you're good.

Yeah. Titanium Backup states I have SU permissions.

So I guess following my above link did not work.

Anyone have a better link or way to get this device back to an unrooted state?

Thanks. The link on the YT video (YouTube - Samsung Captivate (ODIN 1 Click Stock Firmware Installer)) to the ODIN 1 Click for 2.1 is dead (http://www.thevod.org/misc/captivate/I897UCJF6-final-OCD-REV0.rar)

And I tried the Galaxy S One-Click Root app and that doesn't seem to work.

When I click the "One-Click UnRoot" button the blue cmd windows pops up and with instructions to select the "reinstall package" menu item. What I found from the .bat file is it copys unroot.zp to \sdcard\update.zip to the device then reboots it in recovery mode.

From there I select "reinstall package" but the next screen is more menu options "ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.2".
I select "-apply sdcard:update.zip" then "- Yes - Install /sdcard/update.zip"
A second later I'm at another menu asking me to reboot the device.

This ends up not un-rooting the phone.
