Wont save settings.

I am having trouble with saving the setting when i changed them on the captivate. For example, If i switch the keyboard and go back to home screen it still has the last keyboard on there. If i want to turn down the brightness on the phone it stays the same when i back out of the display options.

I will assume you are hitting the OK or Save key if there is one, and not the cancel or back button. If so then you have 2 choices:

1. System reset - wipe all data and try again
2. Return for a replacement

I would try #1 first - as getting a new phone means setting everything up all over again anyway.

Also, make sure you are not sliding your finger across the notification bar (left to right) as this is a short way of changing brightness.
