It's 2011 and it's time for the Froyo update already.
    I'm waiting>>>>>>>>>
I think it will come soon with all the hoopla with Verizon taking on the iPhone!
AT&T needs to get with it before we all change over to Verizon...
    I'm sure some will!!!

I am hesitant to put a hack/beta copy of an OS on my phone. I want new features like everyone else but by March 1 if I don't have it, I'll consider jumping on the bandwagon more.

I have frojo, but I have the unlocked version of the Galaxy S in 850/1900/2100 MHz, so I also get at&t's 3G signal and with frojo 2.2 I have the ability to move email messages to imap folders too.

What phone does he have on Verizon.

I don't get why you posted this since there is not a Captivate on Verizon and plenty of non Samsung phones have gotten Froyo for months.

    Does he have a Fascinate?

If I remember correctly, OCLF was EXT2...and Voodoo is EXT4. It's also required, I believe, to remove any lagfix before flashing a new ROM.

I had OCLF enabled before I tried to flash the first time and I had a lot of trouble flashing a kernel and ROM...I eventually had to flash to stock. I'm not sure if OCLF was the cause, but it wouldn't hurt to remove it.

From what I read, OCLF needs to be removed but Voodoo does not for Cognition. But then again, I am a noob.

Now that actually makes sense! It would also explain why when I still had my BB 9000 that U.S. Blackberry was the last country to get the 4 to 5 update!

Whatever. As long as DG keeps doing what he does, I'll think I'll be happy. One thing is for sure...Samsung will most likely not see any business from me again.

Man, you guys believe the weirdest stuff. 2.2 has been out for the Galaxy S phones for MONTHS. The carriers are the ones that are either holding it up, or the minuscule changes made to the phones are causing the CARRIERS trouble in tweaking the EXISTING 2.2 for Galaxy S to work with the US carrier tweaked phones.

Of all the carriers in the WORLD that carry Galaxy S phones, it is ONLY the four in the US that can't seem to get it done.

    How is that Samsung's fault?
