Cannot unpair Bluetooth devices

I'm running Froyo on my Captivate. Yesterday I bought a Garmin GPS and successfully connected via bluetooth. However, after restarting the GPS it wouldn't connect, so I deleted the phone from the GPS, but when I go into the bluetooth settings menu on the phone, it will not let me unpair the device. I long-press on the device (which doesn't say "Garmin" anymore, it just shows a random IP address), and the menu comes up with only the option to unpair, but when i press it, nothing happens. When I tap "scan for devices", nothing happens, and when I tap "make device visible", it shows "visible for 120 seconds..." then stalls and never counts down.

My question is: Is there a way to manually delete the GPS from the phone, or force them to unpair? Has anyone else had this problem?
