    Every time I use my Froyo Captivate (not rooted) a message pops up saying:

    Device managemnet
    Software update
    New software update for phone installed.
    Phone is ready for use

    I know this, I updated the phone myself.

    Then the phone tries to connect to the Device management server. I then get a message about how AT&T can't connect.

    I normally am not that annoyed by bugs like this if it happens say once per bootup...but it happens constantly as I'm trying to use my phone. I hate handing my phone to someone and then it bombards them with these faulty messages when they are trying to use an app.

    Am I alone? Any fix?

    You're not alone...I just updated my Captivate to froyo too, and I've been having the exact same problem you described, it's driving me crazy!
    What's worse is my friend has the same phone, which he also updated, but he hasn't had any problems with it...so I'm kinda at a loss..
    Maybe there's an incompatibility issue with an app or something?
