swype problems

i have been using the swype keyboard on my captivate for a good while now. suddenly the keys won't "swype". when i swype words, the trace shows up on the keys, but nothing happens in the text box. re-booting doesn't help - any other ideas?

i have not updated to froyo fwiw.

If you are on a custom ROM, try going into Recovery then clear cache and dalvik-cache.

If that doesn't work, sign up for the beta at their website.

Swype updated to a new beta so all of us on custom roms have been affected. I believe that the devs have cooked up fixes for most if not all of the roms. If yours hasn't been fixed yet it soon should be.
