Why does my device info tell me that the model number is SAMSUNG-SGH-I317?

Hi,

I just received my Galaxy Note 2 from the AT&T store, but when I look under device info, it tells me that the model is SAMSUNG-SGH-I317.

Isn't the I317 the model for the SAMSUNG Galaxy S3?

Reason why I am asking is that an unlocking service is telling me that the I317 IS NOT a Galaxy Note 2.......

I747 is the GS3. I747M for some Canadian carriers. Also 917 or 9100 I think i remember seeing for europe models.

This is the ATT model number for the Galaxy Note 2. The unlock service may not have it in their system yet. The US carriers all have their own model number for models of phones.

The first unlock site I went to failed and refunded me my money....I am trying another now.

I have used : Cellunlocker.net - #1 Unlock Codes for Network Cell Phone Unlocking

I checked it and they have the i317 listed.
