Problem receiving images from iPhones, wont display.

My parents have been trying to send me pics in text lately and all I get in the slideshow is the text then it displays an image with a cartoon like pic and a triablge with an exclamation point in it. I even had them try to email the photo to me and it still shows the same thing. I am on Android 4.1.2 on AT& T and they are on Verizon for their iPhones.

Getting MMS from iphones has always been an issue for android phones. Hopefully someone else can offer a suggestion that helps.

Are you using the stock Message app? If so, try switching to a 3rd party app like Handcent SMS. The stock Message app likes to turn MMS into slide shows.
