Memory and SD question on i717

I just got this Note . Is something wrong with my Note or

I just got cheated?

Where is the 16 GB in this NOTE? Is this correct?????
Device memory =1.97
USB storage =10.84GB

If my math is correct that's only 12.81GB where is the other 3.19GB????
Even if Samsung pulls the metric trick like the Hard Drive COs. 16000MB /1024=15.625GB.

Still 2.815 GB is missing! Is something wrong with my Note?

Ps. is any one using a 64GB SD card with this model?

Just checked my note for ya and it also only has 10.84 GB total storage space. The reason for this is because, although the phone initially had 16GB of space, the phone's software is actually hogging up much of the storage space.

So no you didn't get jipped, it's normal

FYI 1024x16 is actually 16,384MB or 16GB. Your phone is normal. You have a internal SD good for 10.84GB, and the ROM only has 1.97GB usable as the rest is devoted to the OS, kernel, modem, etc.

I want to share some info. I bought a refurbished i717 , upgraded to Cyanogen 10.1 and 1st tried a 32 GB sd card. I had problems w/ the 32 GB. I just got a 64 GB and the i717 is now working with the 64 GB sd card. http://forums.androidcentral.com/images/icons/icon10.png I'm loading up my music collection, about 25 GB. I've transferred 4 app to the SD card. The specs might say 32 GB external memory, But I'm using 64 GB right now. I just wonder if a 128 GB SD card will work? they make up to TB SD cards? Anyway, just wanted to say what has happened so far w/ a refurbished i717
