notifications are doubled makes notifying me a chore.

I have a gmail notifications, then there is the email notifications.

1. How do you set it up that I just want a notification per email
2. For some reason I have 2 to 3 Facebook notifications. From the app and from the social thing of Samsung. How can I just streamline it to one?
3. How can I respond to one notification at a time and after I respond to that notification it is deleted from the notification area?

You cannot shut off gmail notifications to my knowledge now. I guess you can uninstall it to use the stock client.
Facebook I am not sure. Might be different clients sending notifications. Might want to go through the apps to see what it notifiying. Hit the menu button and go into options to change the notification options in each app

Gmail/Menu/More/Settings/*Account*/Uncheck notifications.

Facebook not sure, I don't use it.
