textfree and standard messaging app

not sure where to ask this...........I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (love it) and have the stock messaging app installed. my hubby is frugal (cheapskate) and will not increase his messaging package on his iphone. so he has textfree (pinger) install and texts me on it. however, when he or anyone texts me, i get double notifications. One from textfree and one from the standard messaging program. anyone know how to get just one text notification?

I had the same problem with GV, and it drove me nuts. I eventually figured it out. Does this help?

In your Android device, we give you the option to have texts sent to your phone (known as "native texts") stored in the Textfree app along with your Textfree texts. To disable this feature, open the app, press the "Options" hard key on your phone, and there should be a "hide native messages" option right there.
