Text messages disappear, but reappear after reboot

My girlfriends S3 has this glitch? where she'll text normally, and just randomly all text messages disappear and it says NO Messages. The only way it will come back is if you restart the phone. Everything is default (not rooted, no mods), and we've already reset the phone. Can Whatsapp or WeChat cause conflicts? Known issue with JB?

I have the same problem, and so does my boss. It's annoying and freaks me out. The update didn't help either. Apparently it's only on at&t phones. No one else on other carriers like Verizon are having this issue.

I'm have this problem too! I'm on Sprint though so this is def a software issue and not carrier specific.
