My phone was killed when I dropped it in toilet 3 days ago. It's been laid to rest in a bag of rice for 3 days with out the battery. No luck. However I HAVE TO HAVE some of the data on it. I have some text and recorded phone calls on there that I need for a court case. Without those I have no proof to back me up. Is there a way to retrieve this stuff? If so how, where, with whom etc?

Do you get any lights or anything when you try to power it on or plug in the charger, also did you have an external SD Card?

Hi i have a galaxy s3, it just switched off and all that comes up is the samsung galaxay sign. few months ago i had got water into it. i sent it off through ee store, after 6 weeks they sent it back unfixed. someone i know fixed it and it worked for about 2 months and now it has happened again. How can i fix it? or what can i do? also if i cant fix it how can i get all my contacts and pictures etc off the phone? please help

If you can't boot the phone normally then you can't backup the information on it.

Can you boot into Download mode? If so, it may be possible to reload the firmware.

If it won't boot into Download mode you could try a JIG. Otherwise, you may be able to get a JTAG service (ex. http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerc...-brick-repair/ ) to recover the phone for you; I'm not sure if they can recover your data. You may be able to find a JTAG service in your state/region.

Also, after removing the battery which you should do immediately after a water accudent, dab off all the insides of the phone with highest percentage rubbing alcohol. (Put the alcohol on cotton swabs.) You should do that as soon as you possibly can. Also dab off the metal part of the battery.

You should leave your phone and battery in the rice for at least a week before trying to turn it back on unless you must make a call and know you can replace your phone. Good luck!
