Possible Solution to WiFi Connectivity Problems...
For anyone having problems with your 3G/4G/Data overriding or preventing your WiFi from connecting, give this a shot:
- Settings/More/ApplicationManager
- Select the AT+T Navigator App
- Select TURN OFF
- Restart your phone
- See if that corrects the problem.
For more background, take a look at this post:

I noted that Verizon users had to disable a Caller ID App that created similar problems.
Could the AT+T Navigator App be "our" problem child ?
Re: Possible Solution to WiFi Connectivity Problems...
Edited: partial success. Worked initially, wifi now behaving as it did before. I guess I will try your reset process next.
Re: Possible Solution to WiFi Connectivity Problems...
Can you try the following (before trying the reset steps outlined in the link/post above) ?
- Re-enable the AT+T Navigator with these steps:
Settings/More/ApplicationManager
Scroll across the TOP tabs until you reach "TURNED OFF"
Press Turn On
Clear Data
Clear Cash - Press Uninstall (of course this just uninstalls the updates; it doesn't completely remove the app)
- When finished Uninstalling, Turn it OFF again
- Reboot
- Report back :)
Re: Possible Solution to WiFi Connectivity Problems...
No luck.
Wifi still turns itself off, and when enabled manually (with 4G active) known networks have a status of "Turned Off" and no connectivity, followed not long after by wifi turning itself off again.

Well, it was worth a try before a wipe.
Check out those screenshots in my other post (linked above). Sounds like yours was behaving EXACTLY like mine was. In the end, the steps outlined in that post did resolve it for me. Good luck !

Thanks, will update when I get around to wiping it. For now, the joke is on AT&T. I have unlimited data and live in a location with great reception.
