Are the only differences between the two the fact that the Thunderbolt has a larger sim card, larger internal memory, kickstand, and FFC? Everything else is identical?

Larger SIM card? A SIM card is standard so all of them are the same size. Then you have Micro SIM cards that are in most iPhones and 3G iPads.

The Thunderbolt has 8 GB of built-in RAM (Inspire has 4 GB)

The Thunderbolt has a front-facing camera (Inspire does not)

The Thunderbolt battery is 1400 mAH (Inspire is 1230 mAH)

Check out this side-by-side comparison of both devices

Other than the above items listed, the Inspire has an 8255 processor vs. an 8655 in the Thunderbolt. It may or may not be a newer chip, could just be a different batch or stepping - time will tell. Real world performance differences will probably not be noticable.
