This is the way it's been explained to me. Once your phone reaches 100% it stops charging allowing your phone to discharge several %. Once the discharge has occurred the phone will bump charge bringing it back to near 100%. That's why a lot of times when you unplug your phone you'll see rapid drain of the first 5% our so.

The thing with the LG G2 is that every time you unplug after charging you're at 100% and stay there for an extended period of time.

So the question is, is LG allowing for that several % depletion thus extending the life of the battery? Or do they have it set to take a constant charge to keep it at 100%? That could in theory hurt the longevity of the battery
