WiFi Disabling Itself

I recently moved to a new apartment a few weeks ago, and got the new android update from AT&T about a week ago. Things were fine and just recently I noticed my phone wasn't connecting to my wifi. I will reconnect the network, it will search for IP and say saved, then after a few minutes it says disabled. I tried forgetting the network and reconnecting with a newly entered password but this doesn't work. I tried restarting the phone and the router, still doesn't work. What few forum questions I could find regarding this said it's the router and I should switch from WPA to WPA2 or the reverse, however I haven't had any problems up until now. Is it worth a factory reboot? Thanks!
