Lg Thrive Customize Home dock

I am wondering if there is any way to customize the Dock on the LG Thrive. I downloaded and have been using a different messing app. I also rooted and have quarantined the messaging app that AT&T puts on the phone so it has disappeared from the dock and I would like to be able to put the current app I use for messaging its place. Is this possible and if so how?

just long press on the icon drag it to the desktop then drag it to the launcher ... or long press on the launcher and then add it that way. If your new to android just know that long pressing is sort of like right clicking on a PC.
