G1 will Charge, but NO USB Storage or Headphones

The g1 (system 1.6) charges via usb, but the phone does not even ask me to mount the sd card.

When i attach headphones with adapter, it just plays the music out of the phone. It doesnt seem to sense the headphones at all.

that sounds like you have damaged your usb port on your phone, i get it sometimes with a headphone jack adaptor. does your phone mount when you wigle your usb cable
