Sim card/unsure of problen

So I just got my note 2 today and I tried to put my simcard in from my blackberry 9360 into the note and after I put it in it says "(searching)" in the notifation shade it shows my phone number but I have no data/calling/texting but I have reception anyone know what might be wrong? Do I need a different sim? Any help is appreciated

Did u setup the APN? What carrier? Is the phone from the same carrier?

Yes the blackberry and note are from tmobile and apn is set to tmobile usa
