Menu and back settings?

I wanted to see how many leave the display of the back button and menu button always on or use the 1.5 secs. I have notice if I do the 1.5 secs I have to double tap to get it to go back at times . Going to try the always and see if there is any significant battery drain.

I actually keep it off because it looks more clean/symmetrical/less cluttered to me. I also turned it off trying to save every juice possible for my battery.

Update the topic if you find out what difference it makes on the battery
