T-Mobile S3 Music Streaming

Does anyone have trouble streaming music from the internet while doing other tasks on the phone? email, web browsing, other apps etc. When I stream internet radio via "Android System" then Google Play or Sound Player and then try to go elsewhere in the phone it immediately turns off. I have a feeling I may have set something via Norton Utilities (battery saving tool) and have no idea how to turn it off. FYI if i select "Internet" instead of "Android System" when the website launches the music stream it doesn't play anything (not sure if that's helpful).

Within Settings/Developer options I have "Do not keep activities" unchecked and limit background processes at "Standard limit"

Any help is appreciated.

Nothing? Everybody can stream music and use other applications at the same time?

Start your music playing. Hit the Home button and then go into another App. Does it still play?

Negative, stops once I press the home button. Does yours work when you do that?

It continues playing using Slacker, I don't use Google for my music.

I found an app for the online radio station I use which does run in the background so the crisis is over for now. I'll try slacker if needed in the future. Thanks.
