Right now you can pick up a Samsung Galaxy S III from Tmobile for about $150 from Tmobile on a two year contract. It was initially more expensive upon release but its cheaper now. But when the Samsung Galaxy S IV will be announced next month, do you think that the S III will get any cheaper? I'm going to buy a new Android phone in April which is just after the S IV release. I'm wondering if that will make the S III cheaper.

Which one. the T999 or T999L?
Shortly they will have a GS3 thats LTE capable on their network. So does that mean the T999 will get discontinued? super discounted or what? It makes sense for TMO to discontinue the T999 and replace it with a T999L as well as have the GS4..

Just a question.... why go for an older version when you can get a newer and supposedly better phone ??

    $$$$ would be the reason.

I think so... It will be dropped in price somewhat but I wouldn't expect to see them give it away.. Look at even the older Galaxy S II and other well selling devices, just because their time in the spotlight is over doesn't mean there isn't still a healthy market for those looking to budget and pick up a more than capable device even if it isn't the latest and greatest.

With the release of the LTE version of the S3, there may be some really good deals while stock last for the none LTE S3.

I can agree with GTWalling. Once the S4 and S3 LTE are released the original S3 will most likely drop in price until they sell out. Once the original sells out I see no reason for T-Mobile to stock them again though.
