Has anyone confirmed yet whether or not the Sensation has an LED notification light on it? Some are saying that the hole to the left of the ear piece grill is in fact an LED. Others are saying its just the light/prox sensor.
I can't confirm anything but for the past year HTC has put the notification led inside the speaker grill and the light sensor has been to the left of the speaker grill. I wish I'm wrong as I miss the notification led off the nexus one and my old blackberries. Not sure why these haven't been included in most of today's smartphones.
Coming from the myTouch 4G, I hope the Sensation has a larger LED like the Blackberry. I am however will be willing to sacrifice the LED light because the Sensation is such an awesome phone. Can't wait to see some reviews.
I am trying to find the video i saw on it but in the video the notification light was flashing. its located in the speaker grill. will find the link and post.
here is the video with the sensation showing the LED notification. at 3:55 into it is where you will see it. also look at when he is turning on wifi how fast the sensation moves through the menus.
I have read awful things about the notification light. Is there anyone who has the device that could put up a picture of the light? I have looked on youtube and cannot find one single video of this in action.
Looks at the other posts in this thread. The LED light is like any other HTC phone that has been built in the last year in that it is in the grill of the speaker and flashes green when you have a notification, orange while charging. Not customizable which is a shame. I don't understand why manufacturers besides RIM have figured out how useful they are. Was one of my favorite features of the Nexus One.

I have had a Nexus One for the past year, and I have not had any other experience with any other HTC phones, so forgive my ignorance for not knowing that it "is like any other HTC phone that has been built in the last year."
If you YouTube HTC sensation tmobile, and change the upload time to within a week, there are a few that show the light, not specifically but you can see it blink, etc.

Surely this is just a software update from being improved?
According to HTC manual, "Flashing green light when you have a pending notification." However, I only see "orange" when charging and "solid green" when fully charged. Can someone shed some light how to turn on "notification flashing light" feature? Thanks.

Its on by default. Have someone send you a text or send yourself an email from your computer. It'll flash then.
