New Nexus S, wifi problems (2.3.1)

Hi all, recently bought a Nexus S and I cannot connect to my home wifi.
Im in the US, running version 2.3.1

While trying to connect it stays at "obtaining ip address" then after a while it stops, this is WEP protected.

I also tried to upgrade using the manual update to 2.3.3 but received the series 7 error.

Usually when it does this with wifi it is because the password you were entering was wrong.
What did the error say when you tried to update to 2.3.3. You have to make sure you follow the steps exactly how they are.

the 'obtaining ip address' message is a incorrect password most the time... try doing a rest on the modem and router.
