Need a little direction

I tried rooting my lg509 t-mobile using z4 and went with rom manager for every thing else. Used reboot recovery in rom manager and now I am stuck at lg splash screen. How do I get into emergency mode. I have tried home/down/power and support tool. Is there a way to do a stock recover through using a computer and the sdcard direct. I have been searching for several hours now and my brain is fried!! :-D Any help in getting me on the right path, even if it is only directing me to the right thread would b tremendous. Thx guys.

To get into emergency mode on the Optimus T, hold the back and volume up buttons, then press power or insert the USB cable.
