I would like to remove the touchwiz, root, and upgrade to 2.2. i am just scared that the swype will be removed after this...what do u think?

Depends on the 2.2 rom you choose. I think you can swype from the market.

Once rooted you can go in and make a backup of the swype apk file. Second question is where have you found a Froyo ROM? The only one i've seen does not have JIT included. Not really seeing much point of doing it without JIT.

I would also be worried about removing TouchWiz, it may have effects that you may not like. I have not found a ROM personally that does not have it included.

It is not advised to remove touchwiz, it is integrated into the os. Not as deeply as some of the other launchers out there, but it will break some of the functionality of the phone if you remove it. I would back up swype after rooting if worried about losing it. Last I checked, there wasn't a version in the market.
