Quality of Tmobile Replacement devices?

So, I picked up a brand new Nexus 4 from Tmobile not too long ago, and it turned out to be defective, so; they're sending out a replacement device. But how will the replacement device be? New? Refurbished? If it is refurbished, do you think it would be in good condition? Could someone share there experience with this?

Refurbished devices always look new. When you get it, make sure everything works.
