No LTE in the house. 4G not bad considering I did not have full bars.

That looks like a wifi speed test as you have wifi on... Not 4g.

You may be right. I also noticed that when I have a wifi connection the data connection drops out of LTE. Wonder why that is......

When on wifi the phone disconnects from the mobile data of the carrier (4g & LTE).

He could have looked at the results some time after the test, and just so happened to have WiFi on

I think I've gotten 4? Anyway, just saying. I've never gotten more than 30 down where I live but you have, so it might just depend on where you live. Theoretically HSPA+ can get 42 down XD

True but theoretically and real world always differ. Also my 30 is LTE which in real world hits 60+ on some networks.

Exactly, maybe in those markets the HSPA could get 5 up
I don't care about up though, the down is a lot more important

Fastest I've ever gotten was 19 something down and IDK up. I have very little LTE in my area, but it doesn't help with download speeds. Just upload and latency.

Depending on the network, you can go higher. Not T-Mobile, but just for reference

Yup that's me a I've hit 59 MB download before but it is only in central Honolulu away from where I live. That one section there that averages mid to high 40's DL. But you will get the occasional 55+. I guess T-mobile is testing the 10x10 mhz there. For the most part the rest of Oahu is in the 25-35 MB DL Ave for LTE and areas with HSPA + Ave 12-18 MB DL

25-37 seems to be the range in San Diego. Literally all the way to the border. Los Angeles is all over the place, 30 DL in one neighborhood, then 2 in another despite having the LTE indicator on. I'm thinking TMO's H+ network may be more consistent in LA

I do this in Jacksonville Sometimes. I fore my phone to HSPA only since I get 6 Mbit at the minimum all around town. Can't complain!
