T mobile phone return

So I recently purchased a galaxy s4 from tmobile loved the phone at first. But than I updated to 4.4.2 kitkat and now my battery life is awful, will t mobile exchange my phone for another that is running 4.3 out of box? Only has been about 3 days?

Just tell tmobile that you have a defective device due to bad battery life. They should provide you with a new replacement since you are within the return period

I would think they'd waive it since the device is defective.

Yes you would need to return everything if you want a retail box replacement. If not they can provide you a refurbished then you can just turn in the phone itself.
