We are in the NE (NY /NJ) and coverage is great in the metro area but once you go upstate NY (Oneonta or Lake George) there's nothing but roaming on Att, if that. Same happened on our trip up north to Maine. Hawaii trip is coming up and I don't know if we'll have any signal there.... I guess t-mobile is great if you don't do much traveling outside metro areas.

That's always been an issue with T-Mobile, although I think they've been constantly improving in recent years. Where in Hawaii are you going? T-Mobile has always been pretty strong in Hawaii. I can tell you that coverage on Oahu is quite good.

Then you need to specify your location in the title instead of givng a broad generalization. No coverage is not spotty outside of every Metro area. IUGH!

Found rural area visiting has coverage now, band 12. 6 months ago had no coverage. Shows that coverage has expanded. Rural area I'm visiting, really rural with town only 400 population. So Tmo is getting into a lot larger footprint.
