Most of the time I get decent reception but in some areas poor or none. It bugs me if I am in a place where I see others using phones without a problem. The latest was in Bravo restaurant at the Mercato. I had no reception and even outside it was poor then it gave me a few bars and then back to nothing. Is this a phone setting, or overuse of the network? My buddy is on Verizon and gets good reception in the restaurant whereas I get nothing.

Verizon has more bandwidth on the lower end if the spectrum that allows your buddy to get reception inside the building. It's probably alot of people on the tower near you. Well...thats probably what a csr would say. I'm in Pinellas county and don't have much issues with reception.

Here in VT it says we are in a "Fair" LTE area but we never get signal it seems. Could be the SIM card so we are getting one more new one I hope this week. It might just be as Accursed said.

In some parts of town it seems to be great where in the rural areas we get nothing at all even if the map says its covered. Good luck!

Yesterday we were at the casino in Immokalee same thing no reception for me good for him.

Your problem sounds more due to being inside a building whose design limits certain frequencies. I have similar problems here in Tampa in the casino, also in large hospital buildings, courthouse and it seems like every Dillards in every mall...I'm on AT&T but this seems to be a GSM problem..

Yeah, if you do a lot of traveling it gets really irritating that there are still so many places where it's completely dependent on which carrier you're using that determines if you get a decent cellular connection. Try installing this OpenSignals app that will let you scan for local cellular towers and give you stats on bandwidth/signal strength, along with a map of your location. The map has options where you can view the coverage of just your carrier or whichever carrier you choose, along with showing you how far away the respective carriers' cell towers are from your location. A nice aspect to the OpenSignal mapping is it's crowd-sourced so you're getting data from real users. A lot of the carriers' maps are based on actual on-the-ground measurements too but often include inflated coverage, tainted by marketing and sales departments.
