Does your phone make a difference?

Just wondering does the phone you have make any significant impact and how well your service works? In other words if you have a really really good phone like the Note 8 versus the LG Stylo 2 + would our service be any better? I figured in dead spots it wouldn't make any difference but I'm wondering in places where there is service? Thank you.

Yes, the modem software matters for that, as do the quality and location of antennae, etc.
