So here's the deal. I currently have the droid on verizon, but I need a 2nd line, and was thinking about the mytouch 3g. My question is this, If I sign up for then "Even More Plus Plan" and pay outright for the phone, will there be a credit check? Verizon wants like $400 to start another line, even without a contract, paying outright for the phone. My credit is kinda hurting at the moment, and I need 2nd line at it has to be a smart phone with data features.

It doesn't hurt to do a credit check. You could always refuse to do a credit check for the type of plan you're looking at doing, but you won't be able to see if your approved for a normal, Post Paid account or if you have an equipment installment plan in which you can make payments for your phone rather than paying for it in one shot. No credit check = automatic FlexPay (pay first month's phone bill up front) + $0 EIP.
