This move kind of confuses me. From talking w/ people on Reddit it apparently doesn't include taxes and fees. The reason it confuses me is because regular T-Mobile ONE costs only $10 more/line and you get Netflix and such (if you have a family account.

With this you pay $10 less a line until you include taxes and fees so I am not sure why this is a benefit to anyone?

I will never go for that plan. Sure it's cheaper depending on how many lines you add BUT during congestion, you can experience slower download speeds on this plan at ANY TIME unlike the other T-Mobile plans.

Yep noticed that after posting. So it is like the Verizon "Go" unlimited plan. You will always be under de-prioritization and it states if you do somehow hit 50 GB on it you will be reduced even more. Not even Verizon goes that far lol.

During congestion, T-Mobile Essentials customers may notice speeds lower than other customers and further reduction if using >50GB/month.

Uncarrier Garbage plan, IMO. What all they strip away is not worth the little (to nothing) you may save in the way of taxes.

Edit: apparently LTE hotspot is also gone on this plan. #DataStrong
