Note 3 to Chevrolet USB

Does anyone know of a app or trick that will allow my 2011 Silverado to recognize my Note 3 other than a "camera". It says unsupported device and gives me an option to change it from camera or something else but neither works. My wifes iPhone will connect and I can control her music through the steering wheel controls.

The usb connection on your radio is designed to specifically interface with the iphone. It sees it as an iphone. With android it will either see it as a camera or an MTP device. I was only able to control my note 3 from my Explore's mytouch interface when connected with the USB after the 4.4 update. And it only let's me control music in the internal memory not the sd-card. I have a much better time connecting through bluetooth. Then I can chose which app to control with my steering wheel controls.
