Honestly SanDisk is the original oem of micro sd cards and they have lifetime warranties it's not impossible to fry one or get a defective one but they are a bit pricy but all 5 of my SanDisk cards still work and I've got some from 2010 froyo days..

    Test? How to test it???

I just bought a 64 sandisk and I'm having loads of trouble with it.

How do I test to see its real size??

This happened not because the card was slow or of an incompatible size, but because the card you bought was either a knock-off from ebay/amazon or somewhere else or damaged internally. That's what happens when they fake the size of the card by modifying... lets call them internal 'parameters', to show it as higher capacity, but in reality, its just a low GB card. Therefore, the card rejects any new files, and if it accepts them, they show up as corrupt, since there is no more space for it store more data. It just stores a 'pointer' to a non existing file in the partition table.
How to test it? I'm having so much trouble with a newly bought 64GB Sandisk SD card. Been trying to copy files over on it for days now and it just doesn't seem to work properly. And when I put the sd card in my phone, some of the folders have corrupt names...
How can I make sure this is a fake one so I can take it and shove it up their ---s?

Trevor, are you saying that you are using a 128 GB Micro SD card in a Samsung Galaxy S4? You said you had to format it in your PC. What program did you use to format it, and to what file system?
