GMail seems to have some great features, generally works better than the stock Samsung version, but I cannot figure out how to add italics and/or bold (or change fonts), and that can be done in the stock email app. Does anyone know how to put such into Gmail?

    Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! It doesn't appear to be possible using the Gmail app.

Thanks! I guess I will look into some of the other email apps (Agua Mail, k9, Kaiten, etc.) The stock version is only marginal as it checks/syncs far too slow.

No kidding! If I don't update every hour, it could a week before it updates...regardless of setup options!

Sorry it can't do it natively. On BB10 you can tho.

Press and hold on the word you want changed. Then a pop up selection shows up for bold, strikethrough, highlight, etc.
