Charging Cradle

Out of the blue, when I place my phone in the cradle to be charged the phone recognizes it as ready to transfer files via MTP. I'm still running 4.4.4. Is there a way to stop this?

Check your USB connector, Might be dirty or have a loose connector. And check both ends; your phone's jack and your cradle's plug.
