Wireless Tether connected but no Internet

I have an Infuse running Infused 2.2.3 w/ the Infusuion 1.1 kernal. Im trying to use my infuse and wireless tether with my macbook and when the phone doe connect to the computer there full wifi signal by there so internet connection? I have tried man different build of wireless tether without any success and i am have the same issue with the the build in mobile AP app as well. Any suggestions?

My Infuse is rooted but I didn't change anything else. I'm running the original ROM. I have no problems connecting my iPad or MacBook while using Wireless Tether. Have you checked your password in the settings? That is about the only thing I did when I installed WT in the Infuse.
