Re: Customizing tips to get you started with your Samsung Infuse

OK I have an issue with my INFUSE (Rooted/INFUSED) turning off by itself. Tried to return to stock to return as I am within 30 days. Now phone is stuck in Android Recovery <3e> . I have tried using ODIN but now I am stumped. Any ideas?

Re: Customizing tips to get you started with your Samsung Infuse

Could someone speak English here? Rooted? Bricked? C'mon. Not all of us are technophiles nor savvy re the latest techie phone lingo. I'm not a Luddite; I just want to be able to understand WTF you're talking about, JIC it has any relevance to my own situation. I'm still learning my way around the Infuse, which I got a couple of months ago.

Thanks!

Rooted- gaining administrator access, in Linux root is the administrator account.

Bricked- render the device inoperable, i.e. turn a rectangular electronic gadget into a plastic brick.

ROM- Read Only Memory, consider it to be the OS for your phone.

Perhaps you should read the various threads that define these terms.

Link to 100% stock unavailable. Will it come back soon? or is there another link to the stock .tar file?

Re: Customizing tips to get you started with your Samsung Infuse

My Infuse is a company issued phone with corporate Microsoft Exchange Server email added. If I flash a custom ROM, will this have the same effect as a clean wipe of the phone, resulting in me having to go back to my IT dept to get my corporate Microsoft Exchange Server email set back up once flashed?

Thanks

After going thorough this Forum and downloading
Stock_Root-Mod3e-UCKD5_Odin.zip which contained the mentioned below two files
1. Odin3_v1.81
2. NewStock.tar.md5

I am now stuck with this below message in Odin3 window from last 1 hour...... I do not see any progress on either one of it (Phone + Computer)

<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> NewStock.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..
<ID:0/006> Odin v.3 engine (ID:6)..

<ID:0/006> Initialzation..
