Yes it should. An unlocked version just means it was purchased off contract or on contract and given permission by the original carrier to be unlocked to used elsewhere. In this case another GSM carrier.
When you're buying an unlocked or international phone, check what frequencies the phone will accommodate. Match them against the ones your carrier uses. If they match you're good, if not, well not so much. This is moreso for LTE than GSM, btw.
