AT&T: Question on frequencies

OK. A little confused here. Attached is a pic of specs for a cheap temp phone I might grab for my kid as I switch them over from Verizon to ATT. What speeds will this phone get? LTE, hspa+ or edge? I know it says 2G in the picture but I thought those frequencies were also for 4g...

What spec dictates that? My Nexus 5 uses exact same GSM frequencies....

Not sure if it has to have both but at least one of HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100

If it just lists GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 then its only 2g

It is a 3G device (says UMTS) yet it supports only 900/2100. None of those work in the USA. AT&T uses 850MHz and 1900MHz for 3G service which are not supported by this device.
